Australian chia is laboratory-tested and proven to have ‘no detectable’ gluten levels, and confimed to
be consistently gluten-free. It is safe to be eaten by sufferers of coeliac (pronounced seek-ee-ak) disease,
which cause an impairment of the body's immune system. It is a permanent intestinal intolerance to dietary
gluten which could lead to small bowel (intestine) damage. Chia is listed in the Coeliac Society's gluten-free list of food manufacturers.

Australian chia has earned the Heart Foundation Tick and meets the strict nutritional standards as a
food supporting a healthy heart. As with all the Certification above, the Heart Foundation red tick is
extremely difficult to earn! In general, Tick approved foods have met strict standards for saturated fat, trans
